Why finish-area conditions are tracked

Environmental conditions are commonly tracked during finish installation to provide a documented record of ambient temperature and relative humidity. FinishSure provides this documentation for designated areas and time periods.

Inform finish readiness

Provide documented condition data during installation and stabilization periods.

Support sequencing decisions

Reference recorded conditions when coordinating finish activities.

Provide project records

Maintain time-stamped documentation for closeout and warranty files.

Risk-managed documentation service

FinishSure provides environmental condition documentation as an observational service only. We record ambient conditions at defined locations and intervals and deliver time-stamped records for project documentation, closeout, and reference purposes.

FinishSure does not direct construction means or methods, does not control environmental systems, and does not certify or guarantee material performance or outcomes.

How FinishSure Documents Interior Conditions

FinishSure deploys monitoring instruments as part of a fully managed documentation service. All equipment is provided, installed, monitored, and removed by our team. Customers do not purchase, configure, or maintain hardware.

ΔP (Pa)
  • Logs room-to-corridor and room-to-room pressure relationships over time
  • Common for ASHRAE-aligned isolation / procedure areas where pressurization direction matters
Dedicated cellular monitoring gateway

Dedicated Cellular Gateway

All sensors report through a dedicated cellular gateway provided and managed by FinishSure. No jobsite Wi‑Fi, IT coordination, or customer-owned infrastructure is required.

Monitoring locations are selected to represent interior conditions. FinishSure documents observed environmental conditions and does not control site environmental systems.

Monitoring Process Overview

Monitoring is established once, then runs continuously for the defined scope and duration.

Step 1

Define monitored areas

Identify with the on-site staff the finish locations to be included in the monitoring scope.

Step 2

Deploy monitoring devices

Devices are placed in agreed locations prior to or during finish activities.

Step 3

Record environmental data

Ambient temperature and relative humidity are recorded at defined intervals.

Step 4

Issue documentation

Time-stamped summaries are prepared for project records.

Low-disruption deployment

Sensors are small and non-intrusive. After placement, the system runs in the background and produces reports aligned to closeout.

FAQ

Common questions regarding monitoring scope, documentation, and intended use.

Is this for the whole building or just finish areas?

Monitoring is typically limited to agreed finish areas where environmental conditions may affect installation or stabilization of materials. Scope and locations are confirmed prior to deployment and documented for the project record.

Do we need Wi-Fi on site?

No. FinishSure deployments use cellular-connected gateways, so site Wi-Fi is not required for monitoring or dashboard access.

Do we get dashboard access and alerts?

Yes. Clients receive 24/7/365 access to dashboards showing recorded conditions. Optional alerts can be configured to notify designated contacts via email and SMS when conditions move out of the agreed range.

What do the reports look like?

Documentation consists of time-stamped summaries of observed temperature and relative humidity conditions by monitored zone. Outputs are provided in PDF format for inclusion in closeout records.

Can this help if there is a warranty claim later?

Documentation may be referenced as a historical record of observed environmental conditions during the monitored period. FinishSure does not evaluate material performance or determine cause of defects.

Do we need to purchase or manage any equipment?

No. FinishSure is provided as a service. All monitoring equipment is supplied, deployed, managed, and removed by our team at the end of the monitoring period.

Does FinishSure certify that conditions were acceptable?

No. FinishSure provides time-stamped documentation of observed environmental conditions only. We do not certify compliance, approve installation conditions, or guarantee outcomes.

Does FinishSure control or adjust HVAC or ventilation systems?

No. FinishSure does not operate, adjust, or control environmental systems. Responsibility for maintaining site conditions remains with the project team.

Scope & Limitations

FinishSure provides environmental condition monitoring and documentation services for designated finish areas as agreed for each project. Services are observational in nature and limited to the recorded parameters, locations, and time periods defined in the monitoring scope. All equipment used for monitoring is provided on a temporary basis as part of the service and remains the property of FinishSure.

FinishSure does not provide inspection, testing, certification, approval, or validation of materials, installation methods, code compliance, or workmanship. Documentation reflects recorded ambient conditions only and does not constitute a determination of cause, responsibility, or performance outcome.
